ThinkIt and Claude
Use ThinkIt with Claude
Ask Claude about your notes, or have it write new pages for you, in plain words. Here is what it can do, how to connect it and how to disconnect it.
What this is
Claude is the AI assistant made by Anthropic. On its own, it can’t see your ThinkIt pages. A connector changes that: it is a bridge you add to Claude, once, that lets it use another service on your behalf, with your permission.
Connectors are built on MCP, the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to apps. You don’t need to know how it works: think of it as a plug that fits Claude. Minifull runs one for your Minifull account. Through it, Claude can find, read and add to your ThinkIt pages (and, if you allow, your TodayIt calendar, TaskIt tasks, NotoIt notes and MoneyIt records).
Not open to everyone yet
ThinkIt is not in the app stores yet, and Minifull Cloud, the account behind sync and this connection, is open only to people we invite while we test it. If you are not one of them, the sign-in will not let you in. This page explains how it works, so you are ready when it opens.
Before you start
- ThinkIt with sync turned on. Claude works with the copy of your pages in your Minifull account, so it only sees what ThinkIt has synced. If you haven’t yet, sign in on ThinkIt first (see Sync in the guide).
- A Claude account. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan; the free plan allows one.
- The same Minifull account. When Claude asks you to sign in, use the account you use in ThinkIt. For now the Minifull sign-in page offers Google; Sign in with Apple is not there yet.
What Claude can and can’t do
It can
- Search your pages by words in the title or text, or list the entries of a collection. It finds archived pages only if you ask for them, and never sees the Trash.
- Read a page, as plain text: up to its first 200 blocks. Images and files appear only by their name, and the properties of a collection entry are not included.
- Create a page: at the top level, inside another page, or as a new entry of a collection. The page starts empty, without an icon or a cover.
- Add to a page, one block at a time, at the end: text, a heading, a bulleted or numbered item, a to-do or a quote.
- Rename a page.
It can’t
- Change or delete what is already written on a page. You edit existing blocks in the app.
- Delete, archive, move or restore pages, or change their icon or cover.
- Check off to-dos, fill in collection properties, or create collections.
- Add formatting, links to other pages, images or files.
What Claude adds reaches your phone and your computer through sync, usually within seconds.
For the curious: the tools
These are the names Claude shows when it uses the connector:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
knowledge_search_pages | Search pages, or list a collection’s entries. |
knowledge_get_page | Read a page. |
knowledge_create_page | Create a page, a subpage or a collection entry. |
knowledge_append_block | Add a block at the end of a page. |
knowledge_update_page | Rename a page. |
Connecting Claude
You add the connector once, with this address:
https://minifull-mcp.nastydevs.workers.dev/mcpA connector added on claude.ai is tied to your Claude account, so it also appears in the Claude desktop app, in the Claude apps for iPhone and Android, and in Claude Code.
On claude.ai (and the desktop app)
- Open Claude on the web, or the Claude desktop app, and go to Customize, then Connectors.
- Choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Give it a name, such as Minifull, paste the address above in the URL field and choose Continue.
- Keep the suggested sign-in options (they are detected from the address) and choose Add.
- Claude opens the Minifull page: sign in, then choose what to allow (next section).
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of the organization adds the connector first, in Organization settings, Connectors. Then each person finds it under Customize, Connectors, marked “Custom”, and chooses Connect.
Adding connectors from the phone apps is still in beta at Anthropic. The simplest way is to add it on the web or the desktop app; it will be on your phone the next time you open Claude there.
The Claude desktop app also has an older way of adding servers through a configuration file. You don’t need it for Minifull.
The Minifull permission screen
After you sign in, Minifull asks: “Connect Claude to your Minifull account?” and lists what Claude will be able to do, one box per app. For ThinkIt:
- Read your pages in ThinkIt lets Claude search and read.
- Create, edit and delete your pages in ThinkIt lets Claude create pages, add to them and rename them. This box may come unchecked: check it if you want Claude to write. (For ThinkIt, Claude has no way to delete pages, whatever the label says.)
Leave unchecked the apps you don’t want Claude to see, and choose Allow. If you later ask Claude to write without having allowed it, Claude will tell you to connect again and check the box.
Turning it on in a chat
In a conversation, click + at the bottom left of the message box (or type “/”), open Connectors and turn Minifull on. Then just ask.
In Claude Code
If you sign in to Claude Code with your Claude account, connectors added on claude.ai are already there. To add Minifull to Claude Code only, run this in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http minifull https://minifull-mcp.nastydevs.workers.dev/mcpThen, inside Claude Code, type /mcp, choose minifull and follow the sign-in in your browser. Add --scope user to the command to have it in every project.
Things to ask
Talk to Claude in plain words. For example:
- “What did I write in ThinkIt about the kitchen renovation?”
- “Summarize my page Meeting with Ana and list the open questions.”
- “Create a page called Trip to Lisbon with a packing list as to-dos.”
- “Add a new entry to my Reading list collection: The Overstory.”
- “Add the three ideas we just discussed to the end of my page Blog ideas.”
- “Which of my pages mention the new website?”
- “Rename my page Notes to Notes from the conference.”
Claude may ask which page you mean when several match, and it should tell you before it changes anything. It works best when you name the page as it appears in ThinkIt.
Privacy and safety
- You stay in charge. Claude only uses the connector when it needs to answer you, and only with the permissions you allowed. In Customize, Connectors you can also block single tools, for example to keep Claude from creating pages.
- What Claude reads goes to Anthropic. The pages Claude opens become part of your conversation and are handled under Anthropic’s terms and privacy policy, like anything else you write to Claude.
- The ThinkIt lock doesn’t apply here. The lock protects the app on your device; it doesn’t hide synced pages from an assistant you connected. Connect Claude only if you are comfortable with it reading your pages.
- The same everywhere. Claude reaches Minifull from Anthropic’s servers, not from your device, so the connection works the same on the web, the desktop app and your phone.
Disconnecting
You can cut Claude off at any time, in either place:
- In your Minifull account: open your Minifull account page (opens in a new tab), find Connected assistants and choose Disconnect. Claude loses access right away. What it already created stays in your pages.
- In Claude: Customize, Connectors, then Remove on the Minifull connector.
- In Claude Code: run
claude mcp logout minifull, thenclaude mcp remove minifull. Removing alone does not sign out.
If you don’t use the connection for 30 days, it expires and Claude will ask you to sign in again. Deleting your Minifull account disconnects every assistant.
If something doesn’t work
- Claude can’t find a page I just wrote.
- Check that ThinkIt is signed in and has synced (Sync now, in Account). Pages in the Trash are never visible to Claude, and archived ones only if you ask for them.
- Claude says it isn’t allowed to change my pages.
- You allowed reading only. Disconnect and connect again, and check “Create, edit and delete your pages in ThinkIt”.
- The sign-in says access is blocked.
- Minifull Cloud is only open to invited testers for now.
- Claude says there were too many requests.
- Wait a minute and ask again.
Anthropic’s instructions
Claude’s menus change from time to time. If a step above doesn’t match what you see, Anthropic’s own help pages have the current version:
